Blue Hour In The Great Sand Dunes — Jerod & Megan
Peaceful Blue Hour Photography Session at Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado
This is what happens when you take a chance.
My wife and I were walking out of the sand dunes after spending a couple hours there. The sun had just set and blue hour was setting in beautifully! There truly seems like there is some magic in the Colorado blue hour. But I’ll let you decide that for yourself.
I saw this couple with their two young boys looking like they were all dressed up nicely for photos, but had no one to take some of all of them together. So I decided to ask if I could take a few quick photos. Turns out Megan is a photographer and they were planning to take a few photos of the family!
I wanted to make sure they at least had a few photos that they would all be in since any photos they took would be missing whoever was behind the camera.
I grabbed a couple with the whole fam then stole mom and dad away for some with just the two of them.
And let me tell you, it was the sweetest interaction.
Had I not stepped out of my comfort zone, I never would have gotten to meet this beautiful family and capture these blue hour memories for Jerod, Megan, and their little family. It was such a joyful ending to an already beautiful day.
Take those little steps out of your comfort zone. Stop overthinking.
It’s so easy to talk yourself out of things that are out of the norm or out of your comfort zone, but often that’s where the most rewarding things are waiting.
Let’s take a peek at the magic that was created.
